It is almost here, that time of year in Fredericksburg when you need to plan your aeration and over-seeding.
The aeration process is designed to loosen compacted soil, create space for oxygen and nutrients to enter the soil and promote root development of existing grass.
The over-seeding process will help thicken existing grass and replace grass that may have been damaged during the season. Over-seeding should be applied at a rate of 4-6lbs per 1000 square feet of area. It is best to have the seeding done before October 15th.
